Who is it for?
This course is designed as an introduction to ACT at work for social workers involved in supervising, supporting or mentoring others. This includes Professional Educators, ASYE Mentor Assessors, Senior Managers and Team Leaders, Teaching Consultants.
Course One: 24th and 25th January 2018
What does it cover?
This course covers:
- An understanding of the key aspects of ACT, including the active processes used to increase psychological flexibility and professional confidence.
- An awareness of the efficiency and effectiveness of ACT-based work interventions.
What are the course outcomes?
Participants will be able to:
- Understand ways to use ACT with groups and/or individuals at work.
- Develop a tool kit of ACT techniques to provide ‘emotionally intelligent supervision’ (KSS 7 Practice Leaders and Supervisors) by assisting practitioners to identify and overcome emotional and psychological barriers affecting their practice.
