Staff Conference on Regeneration – All Welcome - Half day
Southwark Employees Price: £0 Associates Price: £0
Who is it for?
This conference is for all staff.
What does it cover?
A lot of exciting changes are taking place throughout our borough – find out more and what it means for you at our 2017 Regeneration Staff Conference. Running on two dates, the conference focuses on the extensive work the council and its partners are doing to make Southwark an even better place to live, work and play, as set out in the council’s workplan commitment to revitalise our neighbourhoods.
Everyone knows that the Elephant is changing, but from Canada Water to Peckham, there are many interesting projects taking place across the borough, delivering new homes, shops, transport links, and a range of other benefits like new theatres and parks.
But we know, not everyone knows about all these things, and we want you all to feel properly informed about change in Southwark, especially now that we have launched the Southwark Conversation, asking residents how they feel about change.
The staff conference is a great opportunity to get the inside story about the exciting developments and ask any questions you might have. The afternoon will be split between and update on buildings, homes and culture, and people and places, including a session on social regeneration with Professor Kevin Fenton.
Having already taken place on two dates 1 and 8 November - an additional event has now been scheduled for 17 January 2018. The conference starts at 2pm and finishes at 4.30pm.
Everyone is welcome, but spaces are limited - register today, but just check with your manager first.
What are the course outcomes?
You will have learnt about Southwark’s ambitious regeneration work, heard the inside story about its exciting developments and had opportunities to ask questions.
