Investors in People (IIP) Gold Award
The IiP assessment is a rigorous evaluation assessing an employer's organisational values, approach to investing in the development and engagement with the workforce and business practices, against a set of national performance criteria. An assessment involves interviewing employees to verify what happens in practice. For our gold assessment, this involved a random selection of 240 staff at different locations and levels to verify that we do what we say we do.
Achieving this gold award means we are in the top four per cent of organisations, recognised as an employer who invests in its most important asset, the staff.
Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Approved Centre Status
As an Approved ILM Centre we are able to design, deliver and directly award ILM qualifications.
Our Centre has set high standards and highest pass mark across the ILM qualification industry. This was a deliberate approach to ensure that people attending our programme are provided with high quality training and a “stretch” to achieve their full potential. Graduating from our Approved Centre will provide you with the confidence that you have achieved the highest level of ILM qualification.
By gaining Approved Centre status, the council has been able to respond to the challenges in the modern government business environment.
